Fixed-term employment is when someone is hired on a short-term contract for a set period of time. Fixed-term is frequently used to employ seasonal workers that are not needed all year. Or it may be used to hire someone to work on a project that will be completed within a fixed timeframe. If the fixed-term contract is not renewed, then the staff member stops working for the organization on the expiration date.
The duration of fixed-term employment is not limited in America. It is relatively unregulated as there are no specific circumstances it can be offered under either. In general, these contracts might last from one to three years.
