360 feedback

360 feedback is a way of reviewing how an employee is perceived by others in the workplace and how they view themselves. This process involves anonymous and confidential feedback from selected colleagues. These people are often chosen by the candidate and usually are in one of four categories; manager, peer, direct report, and other.
All up, around twelve people will answer a series of questions about the person. The questions can cover anything about workplace competencies and how the respondent thinks the candidate rates on these. The person who receives the feedback will fill out the same survey based on how they see themselves. The idea is that they will measure their self-evaluation against the other results to see how self-aware they are in the workplace and determine areas for improvement.
